The 18-year-old has been at Chelsea since the tender age of eight and is a product of their youth academy. He made his debut in a cameo second half appearance, coming on in place of revered midfielder Cesc Fabregas for the final seven minutes in Chelsea’s 3-1 Champions League victory over Sporting Lisbon last Wednesday.

He described his experience as surreal and is eager for more opportunities like this in the future, according to Daily Mail. He said, “I wanted it to last longer. It was a bit weird when I came on, a bit surreal, it took a while to sink in. Just to come on is all I can ask for.”

“To play at a full Stamford Bridge is amazing. When you come on and you start playing it all just goes away, you’re just focused. After that I just want to keep working harder – to get more opportunities like that would be wicked.”
