Chelsea must have seen something in 21 year old Patrick Bamford considering the countless rumors that have the youngster tied to Stamford Bridge at least up until 2020. The U21 England international who is currently on loan with Middlesbrough has a lot to give for according to the Daily Mail. Despite being just a couple of months over 20 he has already scored 57 goals and provided 28 assists in the two seasons in which he got the chances to perform. He is currently seen as one of the most promising forwards England has to offer. Bamford is not only versatile, but also very efficient and focused. Continuing on the same lines as he has up until now he just might make his big-time debut for Chelsea. There is a slight chance he could replace Drogba who is keen on playing one more year on the pitch. Unfortunately that will likely happen elsewhere as negotiations with the club have stalled.

Apparently Chelsea are willing to do whatever it takes to keep the young striker around. This means the £30.000 he is receiving right now might double or even triple at the beginning of next season. There is no way the Blues are letting the 21 year old slip away as they plan to focus a lot on home grown footballers. Bamford is the future and could also represent a huge revenue source as he has turned into one of Europe’s most impressive young strikers.
