Chelsea Looking To Replace Drogba With Falcao

Mourinho might make a move on Manchester United’s Radamel Falcao who is keen on leaving his current club at the end of the summer. The Colombian striker has so far failed to adapt and has not become the prolific striker everyone expected him to become. According to the Daily Express, Chelsea will have to take it up with Monaco though as the striker is still under contract with the French side. He signed a 2 year loan deal with Man. United who have the opportunity of keeping him if things go well. Unfortunately Falcao does not seem happy with his current situation and might end his contract earlier than expected. This means we might see him return to France from where he could plan a comeback to the Premier League.

Chelsea could be the ones signing the Colombian who has a price tag of £43million. With him being the Blues’ primary target two years back, Abramovich might just decide to spend the extra money. Mourinho will be the man who makes the decision though as the Londoners cannot afford making another move similar to bringing Torres from Liverpool. It is not about the money rather than about FIFA’s fair play regulations which make it hard for clubs to spend big without balancing out their budget. Risking spending that much on Falcao may not be the best of choices when you have targets like Varane, Pogba or Ibrahimovic on your list.
