Chelsea Looking To Replace Cech

Chelsea have already found a replacement for Cech who is very likely to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the summer. After repeatedly stating he will not be continuing as a substitute for the Blues, the 32 year old has made the list of several important teams including Arsenal and Liverpool. Mourinho will have to find a replacement and give Courtois some competition in order to keep him in top shape. According to the Daily Expres, QPR’s Rob Green is expected to be the one filling in Cech’s shoes. The 35 year old keeper who is in his last year of contract with the Rangers provided some of the most impressive saves of this season. He looks in great shape and is as sharp as a keeper should be to challenge Courtois.

QPR are requesting around £2million for their current number one who was even called in by Hodgson to represent his home country. The problem with Green will be his desire to be number one. Regardless of how hard he will fight to be number one it is hard to believe he will make Mourinho turn Courtois into a substitute. With that in mind, the 35 year old could refuse the chance of playing at Stamford Bridge. Making a decision will be tough though as QPR are likely preparing to leave the Premier League to perform in the Championship next season.
