Chelsea Legends Say Goodbye To Premier League

It was a day packed with emotional moments for Chelsea fans who despite celebrating the Premier League title, had to say a final goodbye to Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard who played their last games in the UK. Even if Lampard left Stamford Bridge a year back, he was still in the heart of fans who had the chance to see him perform for a couple of times this season. Drogba was given 30 minutes to play as captain and was then replaced by Costa who had the chance to witness what respect is after the team literally carried the Ivorian towards the bench. Abramovich just like everyone else was on his feet and applauded this brilliant striker who has left his mark at Stamford Bridge and will not be soon forgotten no matter who Chelsea sign in order to replace him.

Drogba and Lampard now leave Terry among the few who dazzled the world with their dedication and love of the game. Chelsea will have a hard time finding players like these three no matter how much money they pay. Character like theirs and dedication towards a club like they have shown is not to be found in younger players regardless of what names like Messi or Ronaldo represent for their sides.

According to NBC, Drogba and Lampard might be reunited in the MLS where Villa is waiting to be in the select company of the former Chelsea men. NY City FC is expected to make an offer for the Ivorian after already securing Lampard for the current season. The Blues’ fans might have the chance of seeing the two playing together for a couple of matches if they tune into MLS
