Chelsea Keen To Extend Cahill’s Stay At The Club!

The England international, Gary Cahill joined the Blues in a £7 million deal from Bolton Wanderers in January 2012 and has gone on to make more than 100 appearances in all competitions for the club. He started the Champions League final against Bayern Munich in 2012 and famously won the competition in his debut season for Chelsea.

Cahill, who has also won the FA Cup and Europa League with the Blues, is expected to be the next Chelsea player to commit his long-term future to the club, according to the Standard. Cesar Azpilicueta and Thibaut Courtois have already signed extensions and Cahill is expected to follow suit.

The reports suggests than an announcement is imminent with Chelsea happy to extend the 28-year-old’s stay at Stamford Bridge. Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson has also made Cahill the new vice-captain of the England team showing further faith in the mature, accomplished defender..
