Chelsea Interested In Spain International?

Chelsea and more specifically the Blues led by Antonio Conte are still building their ideal squad. The Summer transfer window was not enough for the Italian to sign all the players he wanted. There’s also the fact that with time, he has managed to figure out exactly what gaps need to be filled and who could fill them for his side trying to win top honours in England. The new formation is looking really quite promising from the defensive and offensive point of view and it certainly has helped Chelsea to produce a number of excellent performances over their recent run of wins which has seen them ascend to the top of the Premier League for the first time since they won the title back in May of 2015. It looks like one of the only things missing from Conte’s squad is an additional creative player to operate in the side along with Eden Hazard. Chelsea have Cesc Fabregas but unfortunately the Spaniard is seemingly not quite Conte’s cup of tea.

Apparently, the solution could come from Real Madrid where Isco is becoming more and more frustrated with his situation. He is being played out of position or is on the bench even if he is one of the most spectacular attacking midfielders in the world. He has speed, he can make that incisive defence-splitting pass and he can score. He has a good engine and he may well be willing to take on a new challenge if he has a better chance of securing more opportunities in the starting eleven. At Real Madrid so far this season under Zinedine Zidane he has only made 12 appearances in all competitions with many of those coming as a substitute. The good thing about a player like Isco is that he can play in several positions in attack and can do well in pretty much all of them. He can play wide or he can play as a No.10 and he can play as a second striker if necessary.

According to the Daily Star, Chelsea could make a move on the Spanish international this January. The former Malaga player was signed by Real for £25m but would likely cost much more these days. Isco is under contract with Real until 2018 but reports suggest that he may be on the move from the Spanish capital as soon as this January when the winter transfer window opens. Not surprisingly a number of other top clubs from Europe like Manchester City and Italian giants Juventus and AC Milan are also tracking Isco so it will be interesting to see if he does make a move away from the Bernabeu which has been speculated about for some time now.
