Chelsea Fans Happy Drogba Is Back

Chelsea and Didier Drogba will be reunited after the Ivorian spent two years apart from what he calls his second home. According to Metro, the Ivorian will not disappoint despite being 36 years of age. His excellent work ethic allowed him to perform at the highest level possible and will probably allow him to play for another year or more. His services will be needed considering the fact that Demba Ba left on loan and that Torres has only managed to score 20 Premier League goals since moving to Chelsea. That is about as many as Drogba scored in the couple of months spent at Galatasaray.

Brought in as a second choice to Diego Costa who has already scored his first goal for Chelsea, Drogba will be looking to not disappoint fans who are excited to see the Blues’ most prolific striker of the past decade, back home.

Drogba left the team on the absolute best of terms. He scored the winning goal in the Champions League final and never even thought of joining one of Chelsea’s rivals despite receiving some good offers from other Premier League teams.

Since leaving Stamford Bridge, things have changed a lot as far as the team goes. Cech and Terry are the only ones who are still team regulars out of the group who won 12 trophies and helped Drogba score his way to the top three best scorers in Chelsea’s history. Hopefully, the 36 year old will be able to help the club at least just as much as Eto’o did when signing a one year deal with the Blues.
