Chelsea Could Make A Profit Off Of Schurrle

Despite being one of the most effective players in Mourinho’s squad, Andre Schurrle is set to leave for Germany this winter. Mourinho dismissed all rumors of possible arrivals or departures but it seems that things are not set in stone. According to the Daily Mail, the winger is going to undergo a change in scenery in order to get more time on the pitch. It appears that he will either go with Wolfsburg or with Dortmund. It will mostly depend on how much money the clubs want to spend. When he moved to London he cost the Blues around £18million. This happened back in 2013 and since then it appears he has almost doubled in value.

The amount speculated in the press sounds a bit much for German clubs other than Bayer. Even though Dortmund is expected to make a lot of money this winter by selling some of their most important players, there is a small chance they will spend all that on Schurrle. Wolfsburg also have a mediocre transfer budget at best so saying that they will make a £30million bid seems kind of absurd. There is a bigger chance of seeing Schurrle signed by teams like Arsenal or Liverpool who are missing a great left winger. Unfortunately for all sides, Mourinho is known for not selling strong players to direct adversaries these days as he did on several occasions with the Gunners in the past.
