Chelsea Already Making Plans To Replace Petr Cech

The Blues are almost certain they will lose Petr Cech at the end of the season. The 32 year old has yet to decide where he will go next but one thing is for sure: he will not be playing for Chelsea. According to Metro, the man who will be summoned to provide competition for Courtois comes from the lower part of the Championship table which does not sound very encouraging. Every great team should have players of close to similar if not equal value in the squad in order to make sure injuries or any other absences do not affect performance. Mourinho might think differently as rumors have it, 22 year old Marcus Bettinelli is going to be offered a deal at the beginning of the transfer window. Fulham will probably be more than ready to sell considering their current situation.

The youngster is out of contract in 2016 and will probably need to look for a bigger challenge than helping Fulham avoid the fate of leaving the Championship and being relegated twice in consecutive years.

Bettinelli has been the club’s number one choice since 2014 and has managed some pretty decent performances. Joining Chelsea will probably come with an increase in pay but will also make him spend most of his time on the bench. With Courtois being one of the top keepers in the world and with 21 year old giant Jamal Blackman looking better each day, Fulham’s keeper has a big decision ahead in his future.
