Can Mourinho Lure Guarin To Stamford Bridge?

According to talkSPORT, Chelsea target Fredy Guarin has decided against leaving Inter Milan in the summer, and categorically stated his wishes of signing a new contract after the expiry of his current deal which will be a disappointment to Mourinho who has worked with him before and has made it known he would like to bring the Colombian to West London.

Chelsea faced Swansea City in a difficult Barclays Premier League encounter on Sunday and eked out a 1-0 win to keep pace with Liverpool who beat Man City 3-2 at Anfield. Jose Mourinho is continuing his process of transition in the squad he inherited this season. Frank Lampard will soon come to the end of his career, and Mourinho may well look to replace the England international in the summer.

Guarin began his career back in native Columbia with Envigado FC in 2002 as a youth player. He signed for the club soon after, and played out three seasons dominated by loan spells. The 27-year old then made a permanent switch to Saint-Etienne, only to be offered a place in the Porto squad a season later. Guarin spent 4 seasons with Porto, and left the club on loan to Inter in 2012. Having performed exceptionally in the loan spell, he signed on with Inter on a permanent deal, and has now established his place in the first team.

Mourinho obviously likes Guarin so it will be interesting to see if he can lure him to Stamford Bridge.
