Arsenal Transfer To Trigger Changes In Chelsea’s Lot

There has been a lot of speculation regarding transfers between Chelsea and PSG especially since the two were paired up in the Champions League knockout phase. After rumors that Ibrahimovic is about to move to London and that Hazard is about to return to France, it is Azpilicueta’s turn to make the news. According to the Daily Express, the Spaniard could become a PSG man this summer despite the fact that his contract with Chelsea is to expire in 2019.

News about a possible departure emerged after Serge Aurier fell out of grace with PSG who will be most likely looking to send the Ivorian back to Toulouse when his loan contract ends. Arsenal will jump at the opportunity of bringing in the 22 year old defender whose physical playing style would go great with the Premier League. This move and the fact that PSG do not have a big transfer lined up for this summer, could allow the Parisians to offer Azpilicueta a bigger contract.

Despite being one of the most praised players at Stamford Bridge, the Spaniard might be used as part of a much bigger deal which could allow the Blues to bring in Paul Pogba. Due to FIFA’s Financial Fair Play rules, it would be next to impossible for Chelsea to spend money without selling one of their players for big money. PSG seem the only ones who could afford to spend £20million on a defender right now so rumors of Azpilicueta leaving could turn out to be true.
