Ankle Injury Set To Rule Drogba Out For 4 Months!

The former Galatasaray striker, Didier Drogba left Stamford Bridge in 2012 and enjoys a legend status at the club after helping Chelsea win the Champions League in 2012. He decided to re-join old boss Jose Mourinho at Chelsea on a one-year contract this summer but he could feature for the Blues only in 2015.

The 36-year-old fell awkwardly when attempting a header during Chelsea’s pre-season warm-up match which they won 2-1 against Ferencvaros on Sunday. He had to be stretchered off from the game and it seems it could be while before his return with Mirror reporting that the striker could miss up to four months of the new season.

Drogba has had scans on his ankle and the Blues are insisting that he will be out of action for ‘weeks’ and not months. However, there is still a possibility he could miss a large chunk of the new season.
