Adidas Unveil Chelsea’s Kit For Next Season

Chelsea have already unveiled their shirts for the 2013-2014 campaign that were designed by Adidas. This piece of news is not necessarily important, but according to Metro, some conclusions can be drawn after seeing the pictures that revealed the Blues’ new kit. First off, it looks like Torres is going to stay with Chelsea for at least one more season. If his place in next years’ team would not have been certain he would not have been selected for the picture Adidas used to show the fans what their favorite players will wear. The picture also features David Luiz, Gary Cahill and young Oscar.

The best thing that this picture reveals is that Luiz is going to stay at Stamford Bridge. After being linked to Barcelona over the past months, Luiz looks like he is here to stay. Chelsea fans are very fond of their defender, who has managed excellent and consistent performances all throughout the season. The bad news that some say can be deduced from this particular kit presentation is that Lampard is not featured in any picture. Considering his poor relationship with the club and the fact that he has not yet been offered a contract, it looks like the English international may leave during the summer. Even with his excellent performances that got the team to third place in the Premier League and with all of the fans’ opposition, there is a pretty good chance he will leave the UK.

The fact that Terry was not in the picture also caused some fuss. Chelsea’s captain, who was chosen for the earlier kit campaign, was also excluded, leaving only the four players mentioned before. Mata and Demba Ba were also featured in some of the previous campaigns.

As far as the actual kit goes, some changes have been made. The gold insertions have been dropped and have been replaced with white stripes. The fans will be pleased with the quality of the fabric and with the fact that the shirt has a V-neck cut.
